It's been years in the making: this vision I've had of a larger store space with room for a stitch lounge and sewing classes. It hasn't been easy to find but, I've finally got it and, it isn't very far from the current location (982 Elmwood, until the end of May, 2012)

Please meet… 543 Franklin Street, the soon-to-be-new home of Elmwood Village Fabrics!

Here's a map and directions, that will take you door-to-door from 982 Elmwood to 543 Franklin (just before North Street):

• Take Elmwood Avenue southbound (toward the city) to either Allen or Virginia*
• Turn LEFT (East) onto Allen or Virginia*
• Turn LEFT again (North) onto Franklin

*Virginia Street is shown in the map and, though it is 1 block further than you need to go,
it can be easier to drive than on Allen at certain times of the day.

Once you get to the corner of Franklin & Allen (Rick Cycle and Café 59 on the corners) you're 1/10 mile from our doorstep.

543 Franklin is a handsome gray building (with white trim and a red door) set at the back of its lot.
It can be easy to miss the first time — so, watch for these landmarks:

• DeRose Dental will be #522 on the left (left photo)
• followed by several brick buildings in a row on the right (center photo)
• watch for the Dorm Authority offices at #539 (right photo)
• Elmwood Village Fabrics' driveway is just past the Dorm Authority lawn.
